Alan Jones
Browsing through my history file this afternoon - retirement does have some benefits - I came across the attached stock list from Fortescue Garage Ltd. in Charminster, dated March 1988. Although not a technical query, I thought that this may be of interest to some (particularly if you currently own one of the cars listed), only a few of them are still on the DVLA website. What I found interesting was the price of the 'body off restorations' for 1988 and particularly the description of the Spitfire, you don't get honesty like that these days! Perhaps that is why the DVLA lists it as untaxed since 1987! Regards Alan
mikeyb
Quite surprised a how high those prices are, i wonder if many sold? £6500 for a 15 year old sportscar that cost considerably less? Hmmmn.
Tom Fremont
Present value of those £s is from 2-3X, so not as far off from today's values as I would have thought 25+ years later. Tells me TR values are still lagging their " peers " ( if you think such a thing exists ) Cheers, Tom
Cew
This was the bill for the deposit when my TR6 was refurbished in 1987,before my ownership. The final bill was £2000 in March 1988 IMG_20150813_0002 - Copy.pdf
Andrew Smith
Here's Saffy for sale at TR Enterprises in October 1994 - I paid not much over that in 2014! Cheers Andrew

JJC
I saw the Maserati when they were working on it. A great deal of welding to the floors. But it was a nice looking car JJC
