Eddie Cairns
A few years ago I was given a Clarke CIR24 impact driver.Works fine some days and not great other days, the bearings have now gone.I assume Clarke will not sell parts for a low end £100 gun.So time to buy a new wrench.I have a toy air compressor so I would need a new compressor to properly drive an air gun, therefore I will go for a cordless drive. The top end Ingersol Rand is circa £500 but do not want to buy a Clarke one every few years. What would the panel suggest.I would use it a few days a week, some weeks not usededdie
graeme
Eddie, Clarke usually have a good spares availability through Machine Mart. Worth speaking to them first. http://www.machinemart.co.uk/pages/customer-service Cheers Graeme

Lebro
I have a clark impact wrench, have had it for donkeys. It has never had enough grunt even to undo wheel nuts. I feed it with up to 150PSI through a fat air hose. Stripped it down a month or so ago, to check out the innards, but found nothing wrong. So not impressed. Bob. Eddie Cairns
Phoned up Clarke spares and they have sent me an exploded view with all the parts linked to parts numbers. So I will take it to bits and try to discover what needs changed. Then check if the parts are availabe. eddie

Eddie Cairns
Took it to bits and the only thing that maybe was worn was the motor. Cost £51.84 with Vat and postage. New CIR220 that is the latest version circa £108 so not worth repairing as you get a new unit and two new batteries. Gave it a lube and put it back together and working fine but for how long? So a new better quality unit it will be. eddie
