Dave McDonald
There are 4 TRs in a big field of 45 cars in the 40 minute Swinging 60s race at the CSCC meeting at Snetterton this weekend, 12th April. TRs include my TR6, Chris Edwards, TR6; Alan Charlton, TR6; Dave Bailey, TR4. The opposition includes Jag Mk 1 & E Types, Lotus 7s, Lotus Elans, MGBs & Cs, Marcos, Midgets, Sprites, Minis, Turner, Ginetta, NSU TT, BMW 1600, Alfas, Lotus Cortina, Porsche 911, Reliant Sabre, Chevy Corvette and Camaro. A good mix of cars. Other races on the day include Morgan Challenge (2 races), Future Classics (generally 1970s - 80s sportscars), Classic K (1960s Sportscars complying with FIA Appendix K), Jag Saloons and XJS and a Sports v Saloons allcomers race to finish the day. Norfolkjohn
This is my second attempt at getting this post up so fingers crossed it works this time. It was a bit cold and grey at Snetterton most of the day and unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances I wasn't able to be at the track for as long as I had planned. (Basically part of the Under-Tray fell off my MX5 resulting in a fair bit of messing about in the morning to swap cars and an early departure to sort out the ensuing complications - Yes I know I should have stuck to TR's). I didn't see the Swinging 60's race but I did catch the practice. With luck (if I've finally managed to get the forum to accept the links) there should be some pictures below and I'll try to post a few more if this lot work Triumph TR7 V8 - Martyn Adams - Snetterton - 12Apr14 1344 by norfolkjohn, on Flickr Triumph TR7 V8 - Martyn Adams - Snetterton - 12Apr14 1460 by norfolkjohn, on Flickr TRiumph TR6 - Christopher Edwards - Snetterton-12Apr14 686 by norfolkjohn, on Flickr TRiumph TR6 - Christopher Edwards - Snetterton-12Apr14 2763 by norfolkjohn, on Flickr Triumph TR6 - David McDonald - Snetterton - 12Apr14 874 by norfolkjohn, on Flickr Triumph TR6 - David McDonald - Snetterton - 12Apr14 671 by norfolkjohn, on Flickr Triumph TR6 Racing Engine - Snetterton-12Apr14 2973 by norfolkjohn, on Flickr

roy53
A great day for TRs as from a field of 44 cars we managed to get all 3 TRs into the top 10 in the results. [Non start/show from Alan .[ Where were you Alan ? ] Due to almost half the race being disrupted by yellow flags it was the quick pit stops strategy that helped out with 3 of the quickest stops. Just like F1 . Dave Bailey came 6th and first in the class 1 race Criss Edwards was 8th and 1st in class Dave McDonald 9th and 2nd in class Well done lads ROY
MichaelH
Great photos and good result, shows Alan Bailey engine does he have an electric water pump? It obviously goes rather well to beat the 6s Michael
Dave McDonald
Yes, Dave Bailey has an electric water pump. Next mod to add to my car. Dave McD

roy53
Should have mentioned Richard McKeon who came 9th out of 27 in the fia race beating all but 1 of the MGBs. The car later driven by Tim Cairns in the all comers race [ normally in an Austin Healey Sprite frog eye ] Roy

john.r.davies
Gotcha, Michael. Waiting for the machinist is like waiting for a medical appointment. "The engineer will see to your block now"! John
jellison
Hmm - I think I'll have to do some of these next year. Maybe even a few later this year. What is the deal with the two races for the CSCC? Are the 4 pots in the one race and the 6 pots in the other?
