JJC
I had the problem with the clutch master cylinder. Couldn't bleed it. Moss were very open and straightforward. Replaced it immediately with no question and the new one works just fine. JJC
Richardtr3a
Overhaul the old ones and keep away from dodgy new cheap ones. I bought new old stock master cylinder at the autojumble and he would not give me the box. This,of course, was because he had a load more under the table and they are not nos at all. Ashley James
I'd just overhauled both master cylinders and had trouble with the brake one. The piston stuck in and often wouldn't come out, so I bought a new one. May I suggest that rather than rebuild one yourself, it would be better to send it to Past Parts in Bury St. Edmunds who' ll line it with stainless steel and overhaul it. Then it should last indefinitely provided you change brake fluid annually. Ash

Jersey Royal
Thanks Chaps, I decided to re look at my existing ones, bores were dirty but not scored, old fuid, have cleaned all up, and have ordered some new seals, using existing rods to, replacing fork ends. Also my release bearing on the clutch was gravely well past its best and the carrier had ware marks on it, as if the bearing had been turning on it at some point in the cars history, cross shaft taper pin snapped of inside plus ware marks on each end, holes where the slave fork attaches ovaled, so replacing that too. Now back to awaiting more parts. Thanks for All you Input Cheers Guy
