I remember when I found it up in North London - it could well have been brand new for the condition it was in then, all built up then sat in a garage. Almost as good as the NOS one that went on my TR4a when i rebuilt it in 1994. Also, as I recall it was a late chassis with the front suspension strengthening already done to it by the factory. Alec Pringle Posted May 7, 2010 Report Share Posted May 7, 2010 Hi Tony, yes indeed it was in lovely condition then, except that what looked like minor n/s/f distortion extended further than either of us realised !! Hence having Colin unstitch it and rebuild it completely to 'as new', usual reinforcements, zinc sprayed, etc etc. Bottom line, it is still a Triumph chassis not a newly fabricated replica, but with proper protection.
