dblenk
Hi I do have new pins but stories say not worth the effort and fit new hinges (i have made a tool to help with drifting the pins out so i can clout them hard or press) Any thoughts and are the aftermarket hinges any good i.e align etc etc regards David Edited April 22 by dblenk
RogerH
Hi Dave easy enough to repair your hinges. The new pins are 0.004" oversize so you can run a drill down the holes to clean them up. when knocking the pins out have a good look to see if they go in and out in one direction. When I had mine apart I drilled a hole to allow a grease nipple to be fitted and annual greasing. The nipple caqn be removed when in use. I fitted it to the central lug. BlueTR3A-5EKT
Find on Pages 8 & 9 23 rd July 2022 onwards into August Note the machined cut out to let the nipple pass the hinge leaf. Edited April 25 by BlueTR3A-5EKT
ed_h
Similar hinges, but slightly different processes required: http://bullfire.net/TR6/TR6-62/TR6-62.html http://bullfire.net/GT6/GT6-40/GT6-40.html Ed

Andy Moltu
I might be the voice or reason or howling at the moon but, if the hinge pins took 50+ years to wear out without a grease nipple, how many of us might have reasonable expectations of changing them again?
dblenk
They are in a bath of WD40 for a week as we speak so might not fit nipples if they move well less than 2000 miles a year multiply the number of door openings i do have spare new pins and hinges so can always sort it David
Ian Vincent
Fitting grease nipples takes about an hour for both doors (if you work slowly) and costs peanuts. It’s a no brainer to me. Rgds Ian
