Lebro
click on to enlarge I know the part you mean, as shown above. You probably need to just search for a similar switch to rob it from. Bob
BlueTR3A-5EKT
Is this on a sidescreen car? Which switch is missing the little bit? If it is the rheostat for the heater it could be your switch has a 5 BA screw thread hole and not the spring pin. It uses a different knob also. You would need a 5 BA screw to hold that knob in place This grub screw would probably do. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/331067619553?chn=ps&var=540266319222&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=7101533165274578&mkcid=2&itemid=540266319222_331067619553&targetid=4585169654799835&device=t&mktype=&googleloc=&poi=&campaignid=412354547&mkgroupid=1305120599331881&rlsatarget=pla-4585169654799835&abcId=9300541&merchantid=87779&msclkid=6b57a833ea1c1071cd5cce2a890a5361 Edited April 12 by BlueTR3A-5EKT
dpb
Hi It is a 3a, and the bit missing has come out of a new side/headlight switch. . Bit annoying. I can rig something up, but i did wonder how they were springy. Bobs pic shows how. Dave Edited April 12 by dpb
Kiwifrog
If it’s new contact the supplier for a replacement
RogerH
Hi Dave, the little pip (certainly on the TR4-6) is a 'top hat' section that fits under a spring steel clip. Any old TR4-6) item will have the part. I could send you the part if you get stuck Roger
dpb
Hi It was new, but it did have something in there when i first fitted it, but coming to fit the knob sometime later it had disappeared. So either it broke and fell out, or it was a screw and came undone. I had done a lot of testing without the knob on, as i rewired all the lights, so i think it was of my own doing. A good look around again later on. Dave
