Firstly Mille Miglia looks fancy poncy and definitely is. But the car is the star and the people who line the route every roundabout at 11 at night young families mums daughters grandmothers all clapping waving as we we honked our way through Italy. it’s also very hard on the car and exhausting days. Early starts and vey late nights. You break every speed limit and go through every red light, many many hundreds. Lots of them flat out under fast police bike blue light escort. SHP is a great car and asked repeatedly by XK drivers if we can take out two cylinders as not fair on them and how do we stop ! as they have to rebuild drum brakes every night.
