RogerH
Hi Graham, they should all be hex head screws Item #15 https://www.moss-europe.co.uk/shop-by-model/triumph/tr5-6/body-chassis/doors-fittings/doors-fittings-tr5-6-1967-76.html Roger

Gary F
The small Chassis Triumph door hinges are slightly different to the TR range and are part number 607824, it looks like the GT6/Spitfire models do have some of the Hinge fixings as countersunk Set Screws and some Hex bolts, both halves of the hinge have plain holes only. The TR4, 5 & 6 Hinges are part number 650112, it looks like they have one half of the hinge assembly threaded to accept the hex bolts? Regards Gary
Kenrow
Just to add on to this question, did the hinges always have a gasket behind them or were thy only added to shim as necessary?
RogerH
Hi Ken, the gaskets are only thin card/stout paper and have no effect as a shim. However I used a gasket to scribe out a shim in steel. As such the gasket isn't really needed. In fact coud be a disadvantage as you need the metal/metal friction to hold, what is a heavy lump, the door in place. Roger
stuart
Better to use some non setting sealer between hinge and "A" post to stop any water ingress and do the bolts up tight! Stuart.
