HandBrake Cable Routing

Recommended Posts

Hello All

My handbrake cables are fouling with the Axle Inner Boot Dust Boot.

I have tried swopping the cables and crossing them over the chassis rear suspension crossmember, but  they still foul. Because the suspension moves, I am hesitant to cable tie them out the way as the cable ties will just snap in time.

How can I stop them fouling?

Thanks

Also make sure you have the backplates on the right side and while youve got it all in bits again check that there isnt a groove in the backplate where the handbrake lever pivots, if so weld them up, grind flat and that will stop poor rear brake performance.

Stuart.

Should there be a couple of brackets that the cables run through attached to the top of the diff?

There was on my TR6 but that might just be peculiar to the 6.
