Grab handle dash board TR2

My handle is attached by stainless wood screws as the dash roll edge has timber in it.  the shell is pre 60 k   Be sure the screws are not too long.

On post TS60k cars.   To fit the U nuts to the dash edge structure the capping that covers the dash too needs removing.

My car is TS51495 and does not have the wood, but has the slots cut out for the U nuts.

(It does have the wood in the doors though, for the sidescreen mounts.)

I wonder when the change actually occoured.

Oh well there goes another piece of believed info.   Maybe it was when the aeroscreen mount holes were deleted at circa 43k

I suppose there could have been various replacements/mods over the years by owners as well….. some investigation required
