Clutch Release Bearing. Fitting

Hi,

My grumbling clutch bearing is grumbling to much to the point where it is making grumble.

Is there a simple way to get to it?

Or, am I engine/gearbox out? Interior strip out to get to the box etc.

Just wondered if there was an easier fix than I think there is?

   there is only one way to do it - gearbox out (with or without the engine).

Yes interior out and start with both seats removed.I always start with TR on axle stands so you can remove lower bolts etc. Easier to get out but sometimes a pig to get back in.

There a couple of other mods worth incorporating while the gearbox is out.

Hi Paul,

        to replace anything in the bell housing you do not need to take the GB out of the car.

Simply pull it back far enough to do your work.  The GB input shaft needs to clear the clutch cover to get the bearing off and your hands in.

When you have done everything (don;t forget the wire locking)  slide it forward and Bob's your uncle.
