winny
Hello all. any advise as to where the two air intake hoses were designed to be attached around the grill. Searched past forums and I understand the general feeling is to leave the hoses off, but couldn't find the answer to my question. best regards keith.
Topoff
Hi. They hang in two steel loops attached to the front valance below the grille. I'm sure there must be picture in the parts book or Moss website. Cheers Laurence.

There's a slot in the upper portion of the valance, maybe that's where the top hose attaches ? I have no ideas after that!

SteveB21
Hi guys - my air intake hoses are attached with cable ties under the grille valance - I didn't know there were special hoops for the job! Hopefully these pictures from a couple of years ago help. PS) the air filter box is missing in the second photo! Cheers Steve Edited March 3, 2018 by SteveB21

Mike C
Looking at the restriction these will impose on the inlet air tract, I'll leave mine off. Was there ever a valid reason for the existence of these hoses?
winny
I don't have those!!!! Hello, I've got them but there not attached to any thing yet lol. I'm just trying to find out where the bloke on the line fitted them. Presumably the design engineer back in the day thought them necessary. Having the air intake towards the top of the grill reduces the intake of any water and helps with gulping as much fresh air she wants.
Steves_TR6
I think i have the original hoops on my car, at least i have some crusty old hoops attached where the cable ties are on Steve’s photos. I dont have the tubes fittd, and have a large rectangle cut from the air filter box in addition to the two tube stubs. Steve

winny
Hi there, Reckon thats problem solved...those loops look like they came with the car. The mounting holes are missing on mine... Think there missing because my air box should be that of a 5, but used a later housing, having lost the lid to mine.... wonder where that hose would of been attached ha. Many thanks for posting, roll on the summer !!
