Billy I didn't know TR6's had chrome wheels???

 

early ones I think had the chrome "Rostyle" wheel covers, are they what you mean.

 

Others more au fai with TR6's will correct me certainly.

 

Solvol autosol is VG at chromium cleaning though.

TR Shop at Chiswick do a really good wire wheel cleaner and protective finish. I do my 10 year old chrome wire wheels twice a year and they still look as good as new.

Hi Billy

 

When I bought my car it came with chrome wires fitted + a full set of the original steels.

 

After a couple of years I took a good look at the car and decided that the chrome wires really did not suit it as they were from another era, So I had the steels shot blasted and painted them with Simonize Silver Wheels, I now get many nice comments about them.
