Chris Hubball
Learned Gentlemen Sorry if this is a silly question. Can Silicon Brake Fluid be reused as i believe it not hydroscopic ? Cheers Chris
peejay4A
Silicone fluid is not hygroscopic for sure but it can still pick up impurities. I wouldn't reuse it.
stuart
Never ever re-use brake fluid no matter what its made of. Stuart.
ianc
+1 for Stuart. Good brakes could preserve your life (and your precious car). Why compromise the system for the sake of a few quid? No contest. Ian Cornish
Chris Hubball
Thanks for the replies.Much as I thought, as Ian says not worth the risks for the sake of a few quid. Cheers Chris
Drewmotty
Even though water is not miscible in silicon fluid it can still be present as globules and pool in low areas of the system so it's always worth flushing a bit extra through and disposing of it whenever the system is being bled.
