AlanT
Absolutely. I use heat for this all the time. When hot, I hit it with cold water. There should be loads of steam and a nice crackling sound. Sometimes you need three passes. Each time apply a bit more heat. I have almost never known this to fail, provided you have something to get hold of and don't break it off. The problem comes when because of surrounding bits, you cannot get it hot enough. john.r.davies
I'm impressed with candle wax - heat the parts, press a cangle end on it so that the wax melts all over, leave it to cool. Try the elbow grease again. And tighten first! John
Dave Ashworth
I totally failed with the candle wax... But the dremel, lump hammer, chisel and various other approaches eventually succeeded. Dave.
