TR5tar
Reading a post over in the TR4 section about metal dash boards reminded me of a question I was asked at a show last week. The question: Did the TR5 come with a wooden dash as standard? I was embarrassed to confess that I didn't actually know. So, what's the answer? Darren

mleyland
4 had metal; 4a, 5, 250 and 6 all wood
stuart
4 had metal; 4a, 5, 250 and 6 all wood Though a lot of 4`s for the US market also had wood. Also if you want to be very pedantic they all have a metal backing dash. Stuart. Edited September 26, 2016 by stuart
peejay4A
Wasn't wood an option for the 4 also or did I dream that?

North London Mike
Wood was a dealer fit accessory on 4's, note recessed warning lights etc as Stuart says, it was stuck over the metal dash 4's are unique in being the only metal dash in the range, 2,3,3a vinyl wrap,4 metal painted white, 4a, 5 & 6 wood I have seen body coloured painted dashes in restored 4's, an acquired taste !
