mjdearing
Well Alec started a topic on this and i started grinding teeth on it, like buses non then two sets in a week anyone identified them yet ? i thought mine on the 5 were from US (oxford rings) but found Racetorations site and looks like Darrel does them as well so must be a decent quality ?,so looks like there might be one company manufacturing the finned rings and several specialists utilizing them http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/60s-period-TR3-TR4-TR5-TR6-ali-finned-rear-drums-WOW-LOOK-/301868217890?hash=item4648bf7622:g:6YAAAOSwuAVWuRIuhttp://oxford http://oxfordmotorcars.com/shop/p/drums-9-large-alfin-type-lateral-ring-7912a70d-f6a4-4abd-a8fa-5cc40bc17c42 http://www.racetorationsuk.co.uk/page99.html
Alec Pringle
There have been quite a considerable number of 'alfin type' aftermarket items produced over the years - all alloy, alloy/steel composite, add-on alloy rings such as we're discussing, and these have appeared in various configurations of radial fin and circumferential fin. Some products very similar or near identical to those of other manufacture. The used pair currently on the 'bay look like they are probably of the same origin as the pair I have, and the suggestion that they date back to the 70s is also similar. The offerings from Oxford do not to me appear the same as mine or the others on ebay, Darryl''s in contrast look very close in style to mine. Cheers Alec

stuart
Datsun 240 Z ?? Very often though they do need a little machining to make them fit as the hub and studs are very slightly different. Stuart.
