Andrew Smith Posted May 21, 2012 Report Share Posted May 21, 2012 Hi Ian, Here are a couple of photos of my Prestige (Bosch) set-up. I've included a photo using to the Revingtons TR RTR4048 rubber hose from the pump to the PRV (Diaphragm type to avoid resonance) - do not use this hose as fuel permeates through the hose and will fill your boot with petrol vapour/smells whatever set you have i.e. internal or external fit (unless you also mount the PRV on the chassis). I ask because I want to bring mine inside the boot as well, but I can't quite see if you have fastened it to something. Does it need to be fixed to something? After about four years (just before last Christmas) it had perished and was dripping fuel... . Unfortunately I was away when SHMBO discovered this but one of the Very Nice local TR chaps came round to assit. I have since fitted an in-line shut-off valve in the length of pipe between the tank and the Pre-Filter. In addition, I later found one of the brass connections on this was weeping - now easy peasy to fix - just use the valve!!! The offending 'green' hose was replace with 'proper' fuel hose from the local Motor Factors... I would highly recommend anyone with a similar set up to check their system... The furflex is just used to provide additional support against the filter mounting bracket and stop it vibrating. PTFE lined steel braided hose now fitted.
