Alec Pringle
I can only recall two mildly stretched Wedges, one rally and one rallycross, but both privateers and neither had anything to do with BL or AR and neither were exactly serious contenders. Alec Pringle
'Mildly stretched' refers to a little reshaping of the wings and arches and moving both axles, as it were, to gain 40-50mm in wheelbase. Cheers, Alec

Guest ntc
Reliant
Graham Robson
Well, er, Reliant at Tamworth, - yes, but Reliant did not, repeat not, assemble the cars. Ford actually took over an ex-Reliant factory at Shenstone, a few miles away, to do that. Do you win the quiz now ?
Graham Robson
I don't know how to Edit so .... By the Way, Reliant did not build the chassis 'tub' either - which came from Arch Motors, a recognised supplier to the motor racing industry, and based, as I recall, in London. Guest ntc
Sorry Graham, I should have answered factory, but I did ask where edit by the way box on the right at the bottom
Tr4Tony
Apparently makes a significant difference to handling, but a proper TR7 v8 is still an untamed monster on the loose, so only the spherically expansive can make them really quick. ;-)
Chris59
Arch Motors, a recognised supplier to the motor racing industry, and based, as I recall, in London. Arch Motors is based in Huntingdon, Cambs, and is well known as manufacturer of Lotus & Caterham chassis. Chris, Caterham(s) and Reliant owner
