An electronics engineer in the 1970s and 1980s coming from a good old fashioned Marconi technician apprenticeship. Change of career in 1990 when I became a commercial pilot. I've flown Budgies (HS748s), Boeing 767s, 747s, the Airbus A319/320/321 series and now the Boeing 787 "Dreamliner".

Grew up in Essex so biased towards Ford in my formative years and motorised transport from my first NSU Quickly, Honda SS50, then into cars at 17, Cortinas, Capris etc. Now enjoying the Triumph world, one I did not think I could afford as a student apart from a short aquaintance with a Herald in 1978.
