simonjrwinter
No, not mine, but found this on eBay...... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1969-Triumph-TR6-3900cc-V8-5-Speed-Gearbox-/122117059669?hash=item1c6ebe7455:g:S-sAAOSwHoFXuxHi I would guess the "brushed aluminium wrap" may be covering a multitude of sins, but if the conversion is done right (as mine is) it'll be a lovely drive. mike barrett
Just googled Brushed Aluminium Wrap which seems to be a plastic film stuck over the bodywork.... That explains why its only 10k as it could be hiding all sorts of nasty stuff. mike
OAF939M
A V8 engine does not make it a TR6. Why bother?
simonjrwinter
What is it then? Simon (tr6v8)
stuart
Its been up for sale for a while, definitely a hot rod touch and yes the wrap is probably hiding a multitude of sins if the underbonnet area is anything to go by. No pictures of steering routing or underneath either. Stuart.
TriumphV8
I do not know how difficult it is to get such a car road legal in GB. In Germany it would be definitely very, very difficult theses days. So its a rare and cheap chance to get the parts and the documents and what the car can do in my personal opinion can only be seen in Germany. For some time I had the problem that in the area of the pulley the steering would like to be located. Just move it up- or downwards or maybe forward creates an interesting feeling when driving. Up to 60 mph its all in limits but than the fun starts and the car wants to leave the street in case of bumps or wind from the side. 120mph lets you get some grey hair and that is not the limit of that engine. So I would take it for the paperwork and make a nice sweet TR6 that is a great fun to drive and absolutely has that little peace in the puzzle the Triumph people should not have fitted only later in the TR8!
