RobertS
Hello all - my Lucas Model 5SJ windscreen washer motor (see photos) has stopped working. I guess it is original to the car and so I would like to keep it and get it working again. Does anyone know if there is a company that repairs and reconditions old Lucas motors like this one? The alternative is to buy a used, original one on ebay for around £140, or a Lucas WSB 100 model. Any advice gratefully received.

Tim T
I have bought a couple of these on eBay from classic motor spares 2010. They are £96 each but include a reconditioned motor, new bracket, bottle etc ie complete unit. He may give you something for your unit. Don’t know how to attach a link, I’m afraid. RobertS
Thanks all. I managed to buy the last one from Classic Motor Spares, or may be the second to last one! I’ll also look at options to recondition the original one. Always good to have a spare. Thanks
PodOne
Or like me you can take the old motor out and with a bit of grinding fit a modern pump for £5 and no one will ever know. Andy
