Richardtr3a
Hi, I am planning to replace my Voltage Regulator on the 3A and I need to replace some wiring. I need to know the size and colours of the wires making the connections at A1,A F,D,E. I only plan to replace some short lengths of these wires. I do have some remains from my old loom so I need some advice with the correct specification. If anyone can help it would be very useful. Thanks Richard & B
BlueTR3A-5EKT
What sort of length of wire are you thinking of splicing in? I have an old loom somewhere that I could hack the wires from for you.
RogerH
Hi Richard A1 = Brown / Blue A = Brown / White F = Yellow / Green D = Yellow E = Black http://www.advanceautowire.com/tr24a.pdf Roger
RobH
Note that the Autowire diagram that Roger has linked to does not show the terminals drawn in the correct order - they have swapped them round for clarity in the drawing . Go by the terminal numbers on the lid of the control box itself.
RogerH
Thanks Rob, nothing is simple - even with a drawing. Roger Edited November 12, 2023 by RogerH
BlueTR3A-5EKT
Possible source for cables. You would want 5.75 and 35 amp cables I guess. https://www.autosparks.co.uk/electrical-components/cables?cat=
