zzzzdave
Does the front Valance aperture on a TR5 suppose to have a grille fitted to protect the oil cooler, or are they ok to be just left open thanks Dave

zzzzdave
thanks Stuart, probably a good idea to fit one to protect the cooler .
openroad
Hi Dave , I have never seen an aperture with a grille fitted, but seems like a good idea, to protect the oil cooler if fitted. Cheers, Conrad.
Andy Moltu
Did this on my 6 after a stone evaded the number plate and damaged the cooler. Stainless mesh/expanded metal does the job. I bonded mine in from behind with epoxy resin from behind so no visible fixings.
Dave McDonald
I fitted some stainless steel mesh from a pet store used to make pet cages on my race TR6. Approx 6 x 6 mm square mesh. Be careful when you’re working in that area. Catching your hand on the edge of the mesh is very painful. Ask me how I know. Dave McD
