EdwardP
Hello! I am a recent joiner so please be kind! I am planning to buy a TR3 and have seen a number now. Most of them do not appear to have been treated to protect them from stone chips underneath or in the wheel arches. Does anyone have any recommendations for a good company that offers this service at a reasonable cost. I am based in the South East but would have the car trailored to have this done before risking driving it on salty roads so location is not so much of an issue. Thanks, in advance, for your help. Aldpilot
I used Rustbusters in Spalding, Lincolnshire for my TR5 around 4 years ago and have been very happy with their work. It does tend to get all over the components on the underside, but that is the point. They masked off what was needed to be isolated. https://www.rust.co.uk Mike Edited January 24, 2023 by Aldpilot Too many pics attached
Ian Vincent
I did it myself using the Bilthamber products. Seems to have worked for the last 8 years. Rgds Ian
R9mey
Hi I'm currently working through the body 'just' the rear end to go I have been thinking what to coat the underside of the tub with for protection but would like to end up with body colour pearl white to match the original finish colour Any body used the coating that is used for pickup bucks or is that one of the above ? I would prefer to spray/paint myself Thanks Chris Edited January 24, 2023 by R9mey

PodOne
Bonds rust, 2k lorry chassis primer, Raptor bed liner tinted with body colour and then Bilthamer products over the top of it. I hate rust! Andy
