Now looking for one hardtop fitting Part no 44 on the attached, anyone have one lying around? I know this is available new but it won't match the one we have! John. John. BlueTR3A-5EKT Posted January 10, 2023 Report Share Posted January 10, 2023 Bit of a sideways step…..These cast bracket/ threaded tube things were also fitted to Spitfire and were chromed. I do have a chromed one somewhere if you want to try. TR6 were Matt black finish. Originals as you have said are cast rather than a bit of tube welded to a plate. You could always fill and shape a welded one to look like a cast one……I’ll get my anorak. Link to post Share on other sites

One bolts on to the soft top hinge plate (for want of a better name) and the other direct to the body if soft top is removed. I forget which is which. From memory, one is about 2" and the other 3".
