I am looking for a new set of chrome wire wheels for my tr250. I note the TR shop have a set priced at £960 on ebay. Has any one had any experience of these from this compeny eg quality?

If TR Shop are selling Motor Wheel Services manufacture chrome spoked wheels these will probably be them.

XW457C is the spec.

The wheels I think are made in India by Wheels India.

I buy from them regularly, all their wires are good quality. though personally I prefer painted wires.

Hi Folks,

if you intend to use Phil The Wheel  (PJHalliwell)  give him a call first.I was there 11 years ago and he was thinking of calling it a day then.

BUT - he may have new blood helping.  He is defo a quality guy.

If using the Indian wheels make sure they are always kept spotless and well waxed.  Do not go near the seaside.

AFIK the chrome wires the Trshop sell have stainless spokes.

I would suggest you opt for the tubeless ones.

I believe you can only buy tubeless ones from them.

Their web site suggests they still 4” painted ones for the 2/3 that don’t seem to be tubeless.

All the rest are tubeless.

Just ordered a set and yes they are tubeless. Thanks for the advice.

PS I prefer painted but the boss likes chrome.
