stuart
This would be a very nice easy restoration, has also some quirky features like the knock ons featuring Triumph world badges and the "Triumph TR2" script on the back panel. Also thats a fibreglass hard top another rarity. Hardly any rot anywhere. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1954-triumph-tr2-6/?utm_source=dm&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=2022-02-16 Stuart. 2long
Wow - the correct Jack, thermostat housing, o/d, and so unmolested! That is a nice lot!
2long
Sold at 29,500 US. As nice as it is, a pretty good price for the seller, right? BAT has got to be the best auction site for this level of vehicle. Cheers Dan Edited February 17, 2022 by 2long
iain
$29500 plus commission ……too strong for me. What a great project. Iain
John McCormack
Any pre TS1200 TR2 is good to have but I don't see this as an easy restoration. Yes, you could tidy it up and drive it but it will need a full mechanical restoration first and without a body restoration it will rot away after the first 12 months in the rain. It looks to me that the car needs a complete restoration. At $29,500 US plus another $30,000 or more on a restoration this will be an expensive TR2. Maybe that is just reflective of the increased asking prices down here. What was a $55-60,000 car a year ago is now seeking $80,000.

Here is a similar badge on a 1955 TR2 survivor, TS6354LO, but not in script:
