timpress
Any ideas on how to remove the Engine dipstick tube? I’m sending block to machine shop and want to remove it before it goes. i thought it was a press/interference fit but I just can’t get it out. Engine is stripped so I tried tapping from underneath, using grips, heating and twisting but nothing shifts it. ideas please.. thanks tim

RogerH
Hi Tim, why would you want to remove the tube. If it needs to come out, let the workshop remove it. Roger

Richard71
I remove them to avoid damage when rolling the block over, they drift out easily enough, maybe a PO has stuck your's in with Araldite or suchlike? Richard
