saffrontr
Hi Nige, Is your commission plate an original one and what does your V5C say. A previous owner of your TR6 recorded it with us as CP77286D. This was a fairly common mistake by Triumph Dealers when registering the cars, the D standing for saloon and this ended up on the V5C and in some cases it also appeared on the commission plate. cheers Derek
Phil H 4
Just looked at Mine CP77689 0 on the commission plate but CP77689D on the V5 ( has overdrive).
Bill944T
Would sight of the Heritage Certificate reveal confirmation? Regards Bill
nigelcurry
The heritage certificate says CP/77286-0.The registration document says CP77286D.The car has only had 3 owners and the chances of the plate being changed are very unlikely nige
nigelcurry
Sorry guys! But as I have just started stripping down the interior (winter /Covid project),along with the numbers question I now find there seems to be what I think is an overdrive switch just behind the steering wheel and the longest of the three arms there.I didn’t see or indeed check for it when buying the car as it was not an issue with me and I was more concerned over the bigger possible issues there could be.That aside my question is was a switch fitted even if the overdrive unit was simply not there!! Oh and by the by how do you remove those pesky door check strap pins. as usual any knowledge to be passed on would be sincerely appreciated stay safe nige
