I have just renewed the insurance for my TR5, and I think that the agreed value is to low. Is there anyone going to the weekend able to provide me with a written valuation to satisfy my insurance company, and how much it will cost.

Many Thanks

Peter

Sixteen years ago, after my full body-off restoration, I had my TR3A evaluated by an evaluator and we agreed on $30,000 CDN. That would have been about £15,000. He guessed my TR3A was a 95 point car and looked up in Classics Magazine so he gave me that value. It is still valued at that for insurance purposes depite the fact the I have driven "TRusty" over 90,00o miles since then. Last weekend it took 2nd in the judged concourse at TRA in Ohio with 89 points.

I had my 5 valued at 'Murray Scott-Nelson' (MG, Austin Healey and Jaguar specialist) in Scarborough charging £35 if I recall correctly and taking around an hour. A written statement / certificate was also provided; a copy of which was readily accepted by Country Mutual...
