Westy
I have been clearing out a few old boxes of bits and came across these bushes. Problem is, I have no idea what they are. As I have owned a couple of TR6s, Spitfires and more lately a TR4A, I am scratching my head wondering when/why I bought them. If it helps, the bolt is a 0.5" UNF and 3" long. The length of the round tube is 1.5". They look like black poly bushes. Perhaps for rear trailing arms? Does anyone recognise them?
Geko
Rear trailing arm is a no.
dave-lewis
Hi Westy, Look like TR6 top front wishbone poly bushes. two on each wishbone. Four on each side. Originally would have been rubber "Top Hats" I hope this helps. Kind Regards, Dave from a very hot Sunny Spain
Yarm 783
I’m with Spanish Dave here, front suspension bushes, upper wishbones, I’ve just replaced mine and they look identical. They look like a set of aftermarket polyurethane as well.
Westy
OK thanks all - I can sleep easy now. I hate not knowing...
John L
I think they are lower inner wishbone bushes, the top bracket has its own bracket,. not a bolt. John
Yarm 783
John yes, good point, one i had patently missed...which given how hard those brackets are to get on/ off, i would have remembered!
