TorontoTim
This looks to be a SERIOUSLY good deal. No connection with seller, just saw the ad. https://desmoines.craigslist.org/cto/d/1964-triumph-tr4-for-sale/6378021540.html
stuart
Beat me too it Tim, it is cheap though you would have to factor in transport to nearest port for shipping Stuart. Edited November 9, 2017 by stuart
TorontoTim
True, Stuart, but for what looks like a very decent "driver" type car I'd have thought it's well worth it. Of course, easier for one of our N American members.............
Motorsport Mickey
Been removed, either 1) sold 2) a mistake on pricing 2) a scam Mick Richards
TorontoTim
Word is it sold in an hour and a half of the ad being circulated...
stuart
Word is it sold in an hour and a half of the ad being circulated... Doesnt surprise me as it was splurged across quite a few platforms worldwide so good advertising for it. Stuart.
TorontoTim
Doesnt surprise me as it was splurged across quite a few platforms worldwide so good advertising for it. Stuart. True that, Stuart. And it was even cheaper than mine was!!
rcreweread
Hi As the advert has been withdrawn, for those of us who didn't originally see it, how much was It? And what sort of condition? Thanks and cheers Rich
Deggers
A good, clean car as far as I could see. As Tim mentioned above, "looks like a very decent driver". Offered at $9000 ... so, what's that, about £6800 and change? Looks like someone just got themselves an early Christmas! Cheers, Deggers
TorontoTim
Deggers' description is spot on. There weren't (in the ad) any detailed shots of body or chassis, but overall condition appeared perfectly acceptable and it had had a few things done: interior, new carbs and so on. I would have thought it was the sort of car that you could quite happily, and reasonably proudly, use as-is for several years with the odd tinker here and there until it needed anything more serious. I bought mine from St. Louis for $10k in 2008 and it was similar - very healthy, pretty decent appearance (especially from 20 feet away) and not needing any serious work in any department. There are still bargains to be had if you look in the right places!!
