alan57
Surely "Swinging 60s"refers to the average age of the drivers!?
MichaelH
Probably an underestimate! Michael
john.r.davies
Large TR entry for cscc swinging 60s race Indeed! Just in the Group 2 Race, a grid of 38 includes Messrs. Bailey (TR4), Campbell (TR5), Lambe(TR6), Charlton (TR6), McDonald (TR6), Ford/Bancroft (TR4), Roodhouse/Other (TR6), Edwards/Other (TR6) and me (Vitesse). All Class E. Hope I can keep up. Gp 1 Race only includes Steve Adams in his Spitfire III. Bit less than last time! John

jellison
Congrats Mark on the win. I was entered but tow car died 2 days before so had to cancel (in my Griff)!! Grrrr.
john.r.davies
Tail end charlie is an honourable position, but when it means you are lapped four times, and the only time you can keep up with the back of the pack is under the safety car, it's not a race. I might as well have hired the circuit for my own private track day. I had already resolved to speak to Hugo about this "all six cylinder cars go in Group 2" rule, which I was allowed to ignore previously, to no one's distress, has been enforced because Group 1 is over subscribed (43 on grid today). But there's no point my continuing with no one to race against. Any way, the car decided to throw in the towel, the engine died two laps from the finish. John
john.r.davies
Sorry about the whinge. I'm trying to look it it as character forming. Can't look at the engine today, I'm mediccing at a Warcop rally. So far no human I juries, but one rolled, being extracted on by suspended tow, on one and a half wheels, the rest being U/s. So there always someone worse off. John
