Many years ago my Dad made a drill stand from a lovely piece of teak from a wrecked 19thC ship. He drilled all the holes with the next size up of drill, and for carpenter's brace bits chiselled the holes square to fit the shank. Unfortunately teak, being oily, glued most of the drills into their holes as the oil oxidised. I still have that block, but only for sentimental reasons. Pete Quote Link to post Share on other sites
