Which side of the car is your steering wheel on?

Will these be made specifically for LHD cars? so shed loads more space avaialble for the pipework than on RHD.

Ask the question before you commit.

How do I know of this pitfall....

'A' series Sprite Janspeed full race exhaust manifolds definitely did not fit LHD cars, they had been developed on RHD cars - a friend shipped 20 odd sets to the USA some years ago and they twanged back as if on elastic.

Ah thank you Peter I was only thinking of inlet manifold issues but clearly the steering column will also be an issue, good job I'm still pondering and not buying yet !

Hi Graham,

FWIW, fitting one of these to a Webered '250 in lieu of a Racetorations 6-2-1 required recalibrating the carbs to significantly smaller jets to restore the performance ( effectively 3 sizes down on the mains ). Mid-range torque was improved as well. Top end unchanged.

I wouldn't expect your existing settings ( if PI ) to transfer either.

Welding the 3-bolt mating flange onto the intermediate pipe is tricky, as it's not perpendicular and the angular orientation is critical.

Cheers,

Tom
