bookend69
Hi All The rear near side of my bonnet woobles significantly when reaching speeds of 50 mph +. The buffer appears to be properly adjusted and my concern is that eventually this shaking will damage the front hinges. I've been thinking of fitting an additional bonnet release mechanism on that side, although haven't yet looked into this in detail. Anyone any ideas please? Cheers Martyn
RogerH
Hi Martyn, although the nearside buffer is adjusted OK is the offside adjusted OK?. It may be rocking on the bonnet latch. Give it a tweak Roge
bookend69
Hi Roger Thank you, I'll give it a try when I can next get to the car. Its in the workshop at present, but he's closed for a holiday. Cheers Martyn
Guest ntc
It would help to know what car it is?
peejay4A
Out of these I'm guessing TR250 ... Mini Clubman, VW Beetle, Triumph Dolomite, Triumph Vitesse, MGB Roadster, MGBGT, Triumph Stag, Frogeye Sprite, P6 Rover, TR250, Harley Road King
Motorsport Mickey
Yeah...I know Neil. It's a vital piece of information missed. By reviewing the forum it's posted in you can sometimes gather whether it's a Sidescreen/TR4/4a/5/or6 but not in this case, it's come in from the Technical forum. I watched Sherlock last night so by using similar symbiotic deducting skills I read the posters existing possible Triumph cars as being either a Triumph Stag, Dolomite, TR250 or a Triumph Vitesse. By asking Dr Watson he confirms this is a TR Forum so with one mighty bound I conclude the poster would not be asking for help on cars other than a TR250...Taaarrrrrraaaaa, but you're correct we shouldn't be called upon to do it (especially when it's possible they disclose after another 3 posts that it's a newly bought TR7 !).
