RogerH
Hi Folks, is the speedo output from the gearbox (where the angle drive fits if used) the same as the MGB. Square drive and thread are the important items. I've got a daft idea but I need to know the above first. Roger
John L
Hi Roger I've just had a drive off an MGB, and can confirm that the shaft does have a square drive just like the TR. I think even the right angle drive could be the same item as the TR. Its a fine thread on the plastic plate that holds the shaft in. Hope that helps John
RogerH
Hi John, Thanks for your reply. I've just had a look on the Moss WebCat and the TR & MGB share the same angle drive. Roger
Don H.
I hear the MG part gives a smoother ride, too....

Stevecross
Roger I've worked on a lot of MGB's in the past. There are two types. One is red and has 20 teeth and the other is White and has 21. Steve
RogerH
Hi Steve, I'm more interested in the size of the square drive and the TPI/diameter of the securing nut for the cable. It would appear the TR Angle drive is the same as the MGB Angle drive. Roger
