Just that - you plug it into a mains socket at a distance from your wifi router where it will pick up your original wifi signal, & it will re-radiate the signal from there. My router is at the front of the house, I have placed the extender at the rear of the house, & I can now get wifi all around the house, & also a fair way into the garden. Very simple to setup, & it works "

Thanks Bob, will try it out. Thought it was something like that! What are Lidl charging for it?

Bought the charger today. Seems quite well made, and has sensibly long leads, unlike my Challenge 11A charger. Hardly breaks the bank at £13.99. If it helps the battery last a year longer it'll have paid for itself.
