AlanG
I'm in the process of fitting a TR6 J type gearbox into my TR4A. This gearbox came without a gearstick. I have kindly been offered a TR4A g/stick by a club member but need to be sure. I was thinking that a TR4A g/stick would be ok but the Moss catalogue shows different part no's. Can anybody advise. Thanks Alan.

stuart
Not without a bit of work. 4a stick is retained with a bolt right through and the 5/6 stick has two locating studs. Stuart.

AlanG
Thanks for the replies. As I'm fitting the o/d switch in the g/lever knob it was suggested that a o/d Stag g/lever would be the way to go. I managed to buy one and apart from needing to be shortened it works well. Alan. Lebro
View of the two different gearsticks and their correct retaining springs If you want a longer gear stick which will fit straight on, use a T 2000 (saloon) type. I have the reverse - a TR stick in a 2000 box - no difference to the lower end, or spring - cover etc Bob.
