ians
I have just removed the old 4 vane with grease nipple water pump from the car and pulled off the (wide belt) pulley so that I can fit it to the new uprated pump purchased from TR Shop this week. Problem - The pulley shaft on the old pump is 0.591" (19/32?) and the new one is 0.625" which clearly isn't going to work. Question - Did I have some sort of non standard pump and pulley fitted or did the spec change somewhere along the line or is the new pump shaft wrong. Seems unlikely that it would be incorrectly manufactured so whats up? Thanks Ian

Icarus60
Ian As Graham I have three pumps of varying heritage and serviceability and they are all about 0.622/0.625. I have just fitted TR Shop narrow belt kit and this pulley is 0.625 ish. Regards Rog
lynchpin
Hi The uprated pump advertised on some sites add that a new pulley should also be purchased as the splndle is a different size, might be an idea to recheck the site.. Phil..
