David Edwards
I am converting a left hand drive TR3 to right hand drive and in need of a suitable dashboard. New and secondhand dashboards seem to be very expensive and I wondered if anyone supplied a fibre glass replica. Horrified purists need not be too alarmed since the dash will be well covered in the correct fabric. My apologies if this enquiry has surfaced in the past but I am new both to the register and this medium.

BrianC
I have just sold two originals, but not at the prices some suppliers are asking! They do come up for sale at reasonable prices and there were a couple at the IWE Malvern at about £125-£150. However Racetorations do a fibre glass dash which may be suitable. http://www.racetorations.co.uk/page120.html

ianc
There could be a need to provide some additional wiring as the original arrangements assume that the instruments are 'bonded' to earth by virtue of being clamped into a metal dashboard, which is, in turn, connected to the surrounding bodywork. AlanT
Dont do fibreglass unless you have exhausted all possibility of getting the original part. This will be thicker and all sorts of fit and fitting problems will need sorting. And nobody will really like it if you want to sell.
