Vitesse Jason
The click click when shaking is the sound of a dead injector :-(
Mike Collins
Maybe not completely dead, might just need O ring replacement.
Vitesse Jason
Definitely, a very easy job to resurrect a dead injector, as long as its not crimped at the end :-(
Ade_TR6
Definitely, a very easy job to resurrect a dead injector, as long as its not crimped at the end :-( Agreed, keep a couple of O rings and some silicone grease (doesn't degrade the rubber) in a sealed sandwich bag in the emergency kit. Perhaps you can tell this is a result of injectors failing on a run!!
tr6tuga
just a question ! how easy it is to repair if one doesn t have acess to pressure/flow control ? and, oring can be dissoveld with too much methanol on petrol?
Andy Moltu
The correct o rings should be fuel resistant - usually viton. To replace the o rings you just need an allen key and an airline (or foot pump with an airbed adaptor cut down to fit in the injector)
wheeler
Revington TR sell the injector O rings they call them 'tip seals' part number RTR4345 Cheers Bill

Andy Moltu
As I recall TIMS identified the size/type of the injector o rings and a supplier - you can buy a box full for the price of a couple from a TR specialist. I'm sure he'll post the link when he gets back from the Euromeeting.
