Rodbr
Not all glass fuses are what the look like. Just bought a selection of Glass fuses as being for Classic car, lorry ,tractor etc and on checking found the following : The fuse blade is folded over the glass tube ends and the end caps pushed on. I found a couple where the end cap had fallen off. It suggests that, to a cursory look, the fuse is intact but may not make contact with the end cap. You may spend time looking eslewhere instead it being a faulty fuse.
Jersey Royal
Hi Rod, I have come across this before. En route to Harrogate, Pink had a problewm with something or other cant recall, it ended up being the fuse which was intact, however on test there was no connection between the ends. Not sure of his supplier but not one of the known Tr Specialists. Always worthwhile to test the fuse Nice one Cheers GUY
Andrew Smith
Funnily enough I had this happen only the other day - went to use the horn in anger and nothing, so shouted instead! Got home from work and visually checked the fuse, all the connections to horns and then looked at the wiring diagram so checked if the interior lights came on, nope. So checked the fuse with my trusty circuit testing screwdriver and it was the glass fuse, which appeared in tact (including the end caps)..............thing is this, one had been in VUX for a number of years - bizarre?
