angelfj
I understand that late in TR6 production, B/L made a design change to the hand brake linkage (actually added a link) to improve the mechanical advantage of the hand brake lever. Does anyone know if these parts are available? Thanks
RogerH
Hi Frank, not sure about specific links and things but the brakes are the same as the 4A (I think). If you look on the 4/4A forum you can find the thread about improving brakes. Quite simple once started. If the link you need is the one that extends the lever on the brake back plate then these can be purchase on e-bay - see the 4a forum. Roger
WWT338J
Tony Hart (Hart Racing Services, Triumph Stag fame) sells extension pieces for the lever arms on the brake drums that improve the mech advantage of the handbrake. I fitted a pair the other day and they work fine. David

steve_d
Hi, I made some myself a couple of years ago, from some 1 inch angle iron. Just hammered it over and drilled a couple of holes. Very similar to the ebay one, not a fancy for sure. But they work fine. Steve
Andy Moltu
I'm surprised none of the suppliers hasn't produced a longer lever rather than an extension (which is less elegant)
