TR3BGeorge
Folks, for the "for what it's worth" file, page 71 of Moss' Spring/Summer 2009 TR2/3/4 Parts & Accessories Catalog has a pretty fair breakdown of all of the exterior Triumph colors, thru the TR4A. If you can't find it, I can retype it onto here. It gives the Ditzler Code, where available, and the Dockers/ICI (Imperial Chemical Industries) code. The colors for the TR4A were "Hi-Build" Lacquer. I love their tact. Under Olive Yellow they have the following: Paint Data Description Ditzler Dockers/ICI Olive Yellow "awful" BF 4862 If it will do anyone any good, I can retype it onto a forum post. Is this available on-line (in which case, you could post a link) or do you have hard copy only? AlanR

Took a while but I've downloaded the whole catalogue so I now have a copy for reference. Paint colours are a useful reference but far from complete. AlanR

Alec Pringle
Forty years on, and no definitive list of paint codes . . . . A task for the next TR Register Archivist, perhaps ? Cheers, Alec
Alec Pringle
Bill Piggott has corrected my observations, pointing out that there is in fact a definitive list of paint codes in his Original Triumph TR2 TR3 TR3A book. I don't have a copy, so I can't check for myself how comprehensive this list is, but no doubt others will be able to look up Bill's list and confirm !
