ians
Just seen this. Might make a good Xmas Present if someone asks what you want. OK so you want a life size one really but not for £14.95 TR4 Kit Edited December 2, 2009 by ians
dykins
Would you believe that I bought one from Hobbycraft a couple of years ago for about half the price. Incidentally, even though the box states "TR4" it is actually a TR4A. Regards Peter
ianhoward
I still have an unmade kit of this somewhere! Made loads of Airfix as a lad! Just cannot locate it after the recent house move... Edited December 2, 2009 by ianhoward
TR 2100
Incidentally, even though the box states "TR4" it is actually a TR4A. The TR4A Airfix model often appears on eBay with a fairly low price, as in a fiver or less. TR4 models are more rare and usually go for a much higher price. You may be able to get a TR4 model for £15 or so, plus shipping, but you may have to pay a bit more. AlanR
ianc
Corgi will be producing two 1:43 scale models of the TR4 in the New Year: - standard TR4 in red with Surrey rear window (not sure whether it has a tin lid as not shown in the picture) - 4VC in 1962 Alpine Rally form i.e. fixed Surrey top, powder blue, wire wheels, 3 spotlamps, number 8 on doors, 4VC on the bonnet. Corgi is also producing a standard TR7 and another in full Tony Pond rally livery (rather like Steve Rockingham's car - in fact, it could be Steve's car). I don't know the availability date for the TR7 models. When available, Brian will be stocking these on the Register's shop. Ian Cornish
