Nick L
Hi eveybody, Does anyone have any idea where to buy the black nylon injector pipe? Neither Moss, The TR Shop nor Rimmers have it-it seems to be like gold dust!! Thanks, Nick
Maregratia
Hi Nick Try Malcom at www.prestigeinjection.fsnet.co.uk. John
Andy Moltu
Pirtek - Black, red or whatever colour you like! You can buy a whole roll (several cars!) for the cost of a single pipe! Do the longer pipes first to allow for cock ups assembling the unions onto the pipes - that way you can always shorten them to avoid wastage & by the time you get to the short ones you'll have mastered the technique. john.r.davies
The Prestige website is down, has been for at least 24 hours - I wanted to refer someone to it yesterday. Is Prestige still in business, or is the serve down? John
Richard Crawley
They don't like selling it by the length because they want you to buy a set of new leads! If all else fails, I got a length from TRGB; but I did get a shed load of other stuff from there as well so they may be reluctant if thats' all you want! Don't try & fit the ends without using the special tool, you won't suceed; it's easy to make from a block of hard wood. Nick L
Thanks very much for your help. I'll try Prestige and start making the wood block as per the operations manual! Cheers. Nick.
dave-lewis
Thanks very much for your help. I'll try Prestige and start making the wood block as per the operations manual! Cheers. Nick. Hi Nick, Wood, would possibly be too soft a material. The manual recommends Tufnel which is a lot stronger. Regards,
Richard Crawley
Hi Nick, Wood, would possibly be too soft a material. The manual recommends Tufnel which is a lot stronger. Regards, Good luck with sourcing the Tufnel! Any decent hard wood will be fine as long as you don’t plan to go into production making dozens of injector lines! I made mine out of a mahogany off-cut that was just lying around in the garage & it works perfectly.
Nick L
Thanks for the advice about the wood-I had seen the bit about Tufnel and I've never even heard of it! I figured that hardwood would do so I'm pleased to hear that it does work. Cheers, Nick
