Garry488
Hi All. Finding it hard to attach the last two poppers near the doors. Any tips other than brute force. Thanks
RogerH
Hi Garry, I've forgotten how it all fits on the 4A. On the TR4 the frame has an over centre device to tension the fabric once all the poppers are fastened. Is there a similar device on the frame for the 4A? stuart
How tight is your hood and what material. If its on a 4a then try only just hooking the front catches on but dont over centre them and then try. You could try fitting the front popper first then the other two. If its vinyl then use a hot air gun very carefully to warm that area till it stretches enough to get the poppers on. When putting the car away after a warm day out always put the hood up. Stuart.
phil Dean
I tend to pull the roof up and over but not attach it to the top of the windscreen surround, then find it easier to attach the poppers then push down on the front of the roof and pull the clamps into position on the screen surround. I suspect its these repo hoods although mine is goodish quality it doesn't seem to stretch very well. Phil. Edited June 9 by phil Dean
